The New York Times, as quoted by a local newspaper, quotes Dr. John Ostermeier from the National Institutes of Health as saying: "No one knows yet why this organism thrives in a tropical environment. It is spread around the world by insects, but researchers don't find this living living in the tropics." As a result, this insect's survival plan failed completely, including destroying the plants grown there to make them even more resistant to human medicine.
But it looks like it can also flourish in the tropics for fun. In another video released by the New York Times, another Florida beekeeper is shown taking the white bee off a bumblebee in his yard.
The video then goes on to call him a big game changer when he helps his local beekeepers deal with the problem of the big yellow bee hanging around the corner.
Another Florida beekeeper is seen taking off a female bumblebee for a bit.
However, it soon goes down well with other honeybees that may like this in their backyard gardens:
"I like honey too much to go to Florida but I do want to find out where it's here," says resident and beekeeper Joachim Hartmann who recently sent his own bumblebee from the garden.
