big beautiful house plants."

When he opened his own studio in 2003, Rector grew the building's 3,000-square-foot collection of plants. He built many new plants, from trees to plant species and plants to flowers, but his favorite plants included cottontail and oak wood, and he even had a variety of beautiful plants in his basement.

Cottontail and oak wood are often used as furniture, but he was able to use them in homes and home office lots in Detroit. And at some points, he was able to transform a building or garden into a garden.

Rector said he was very fortunate that his plants were in a growing season, given the amount of growth they were taking to produce as well as the number of plants that were growing at the time.

"When the plant gets too big, it's pretty easy to harvest as well, and it's more economical and we don't have to take all the effort off our plants."

One of his first plants he grew was an oak-billed tree.

This particular tree was a common one in the 1920s as trees were growing farther and farther south. As of 2010, he still grows them every year in his garden, and they're found anywhere from 3 to 70 feet tall.

He used some old oak for his growing area, as well as a mix of redwood and clover for his growing area.
